When I shared the tour of my master bedroom last week, I had some interest in the quilt that we have at the foot of our bed. I thought I'd share more about it here today.

My Mother-In-Law created this beautiful quilt for us as a wedding gift. We sent square slips of cotton with the wedding invitation and asked guests to sign their names in between two pencil lines, then return the slip of cotton with the RSVP. We got lots of fun and unique styles of signatures, some with sharpie, others in embroidery, and all in the handwriting of our loved ones.

It's easy to see that my MIL is a fabulous quilter, and it's such a treasured gift.

Our wedding logo and date were machine embroidered into the reverse of the quilt.

And here is a close up of some of the signatures. So fun!

We love that it will easily become a family heirloom.

Did anyone else get something unique and handmade as a wedding gift? I'd love to hear about it.
